Last Sunday we marched with 1,000 people on the CBCP to remind them that their opposition to the Reproductive Health bill comes at the very real and heavy cost of women’s lives.
This Tuesday, March 8 is International Women’s Day
This Tuesday, we’ll march again. This time we will be 6,000 strong. We will take our message to St. Peter’s Parish and to the House of Representatives: Pass the RH Bill now! On the steps of St. Peter’s Parish we will lay bare the sins of the Catholic church against our women. To the House of Representatives we will demand that our congress persons serve our people, not the Bishops.
The Filipino Freethinkers will lead the program at St. Peter’s Parish. On the facade of the church we will condemn the church for their crimes against the women of the world: the oppression of women; the denial of their rights; the enslavement of their bodies.
