Instead of a meetup this weekend, we invite everyone to come join the LGBT community for the 2012 Manila Pride March. It doesn’t matter what your sexual orientation or gender identity is, we should all support equal human rights for everyone.
Below is the program for the pride march:
10 AM: Commitment Ceremony with Public Affirmation; opening of the Street Bazaar
2 PM: Parade Assembly (please arrive early if you have not pre-registered)
3 PM: Parade around the streets of Makati
5 PM: Post-parade Program
We’re planning on having an internet meme theme for the Filipino Freethinkers contingent. If you’ve got ideas for LGBT supportive captions as well as funny captions to deflect the hate and bigotry from the anti LGBT protesters who usually go to the pride march, we’d love to hear them.
