Filipino Freethinkers = Atheist Preachers?
June 9th, 2010 at 6:57 pmI agree with the above premise, however, most freethinkers i know in person, classify themselves as atheist..although, not final..is also a stand for “not believing in a god anymore”.
This is just playing with words, semantics, if you please, but the end result is agnosticism or atheism. Otherwise, why question if you are not “really interested’ in finding the answers..same as ‘faith’- for the hard-core theist, it is an absolute, they will not ask questions anymore.
Freethinking is also another jargon for open-mindedness..which most of us have in common.
Just my 25 cents.

Yes, in our own little way, we are trying to put a dent on the common myths of RCC and its disadvantages to mankind.
Personally, I have converted my 2 sisters..and 2 friends became agnostic and will soon become atheist due to my prodding..I mean thru my logical explanation that there is no god…I do not like to discuss evolution anymore, I discuss the benefits of being a secularist/humanist..
and how to achieve success by believing in yourself and as you said “action”…

February 17th, 2010 at 7:51 amThe problem with the Philippines, is that, some people think that women are stupid and will just open their legs to anybody when there is contraception, or one will just have sex like a whore or an animal in heat..This is really ignorance and a product of our past belief and religion.
This kind of thinking is very dangerous in our society. One reason we will never see the Philippines as a successful nation but a land of slaves and maids..quantity not quality.

I still go to church with my hubby once in a blue moon…really, just to respect my hubby’s beliefs..He always tells me “our church need us (our donation)”.
While in church, i feel “different”‘, but since I am confident of who I am..it does not bother me at all.
If you truly believe in yourself, then anything should not bother you…if you are happy with yourself, you cannot be moved by anything/anybody.
