To be fair, there are also plenty of conservative-types who are just as disgusted as you an me at the sort of bigotry people from their group are capable of.

Ted Olson is one good example, as is the late William Buckeley.
William is considered as one of the founders of the modern conservative movement in the U.S., but he was also one of the most vocal critics of the Bush administration, and the War in Iraq.

William, like many others, are not happy with the way the Conservative movement was hijacked by Religious Right, which began in the early 80s during the Reagan's administration.

That clarification aside, I enjoyed your article

It sums up the hypocrisy of today's so-called conservatives quite accurately.
